It's FINALLY here!

Exciting news, the latest OpenAI model is out!

The latest models are called o1 and o1 mini; I've known about them for a while but wasn't expecting them to be released so soon - out of nowhere.

I played around with it a bit, and it's really good! The first really major improvement since GPT-4 was released last year.

One of the weaknesses of ChatGPT has always been Math and other complex tasks, which they've improved a lot in this model.

So, for example, GPT-4o would score 13% in an exam for the International Mathematics Olympiad, while this new model scored a pretty impressive 83%. It also does about as well on physics, biology, and chemistry problems as a PhD student would - that's kind of ridiculous.

It's many, many times better than GPT-4o for Math and coding and a decent level better for science problems and concepts. 

I've just got access to it, so I'm going to play around and see how much better it is for writing blogs and ads, file analysis, emails, video scripts, translation, etc, and keep you guys updated. 

The Catch: It is slower than before (not by too much, but not instant like I've gotten used to) , and they've made it harder to jailbreak - 5x as hard as before, according to OpenAI - which is annoying. 

When can you use it? The preview model is available now in ChatGPT if you pay for ChatGPT Plus - check it out! 

Honestly, there have been so many new features to ChatGPT since my first book, things like Custom instructions, GPTs, model training, the ability to upload and analyze files, and generate images - it goes on and on and so; I'm working on a new book to talk about how to use all these, with a focus on how we can use it to make more money really - stay tuned for an update on this.
