Meet AI Influencers—The Future of Online Personalities

Hey there!

I’m back with a summary of what's been happening in AI with a focus on ChatGPT.

A lot has happened - and things have been progressing at breakneck speed.

We'll talk about:

  • 🤩 AI influencers are here and making a lot of money!

  • 💰Does ChatGPT work better if you pretend to tip it?

  • 💾 PDF upload functionality is here in ChatGPT

  • 🏄‍♀️ Is ChatGPT "lazier" in winter?

  • ♊️Google releases a demo of "Gemini"

AI influencers are hererived!

Meet the first Spanish AI model earning up to $10,000 per month

Rubén Cruz, founder of The Clueless agency, created Aitana, Spain's first AI model.

Frustrated with unreliable influencers and models, Cruz wanted to be able to make a living without being dependent on models who were often hard to work with.

This virtual model, earning up to $10,000 monthly, has almost 250k followers on Instagram.

ChatGPT works better if you pretend to tip it $200

Thebes on twitter compared the quality of code generated by ChatGPT by telling it it would either not tip, tip $20 or tip $200 - and it worked!

This makes sense because the large language models will now try and select data from instances where people have paid others to create code - which generally tends to be higher quality.

You can take advantage of this by adding at the end of your prompt, "If you give me a perfect response, I will tip you $200."

Just another example of how prompt engineering can be used to get better quality responses from ChatGPT!

You can now upload files to ChatGPT and use Dall-E, Web browsing, and other tools without switching.

If you've got GPT-4.0, then you're in for a treat. You can now upload PDFs and other data files!

You can now use it for so many new purposes like data analysis, summarising, and understanding stuff - talking to a 50-page pdf as if you were talking to a human!

But you can also use this functionality in conjunction with other tools, like DALL-E image creation.

For example, if you want to create a logo or a new product design but you already have a "brand design" guide with certain color schemes, you can upload that style and then ask DALL-E to conform to that style and help you create images!

It's amazing! If you have been holding out on using the paid version of ChatGPT - this feature alone makes it worth it!

ChatGPT is "lazier" in winter because people, in general, are less productive in December - and that is reflected in the training data!

People joked about the AI winter hypothesis as the reason behind ChatGPT giving slightly lower quality output in December - Twitter user Ethan Mollick tested it out and got higher quality responses by telling ChatGPT it was May!

Really interesting stuff.

Google released a demo of "Gemini" their ChatGPT competitor and it looks pretty interesting

Google shows Gemini doing a variety of tasks, from basic maths and physics and coding to giving answers in real-time and interacting with what the user shows them using the phone camera - if it works as well as the demo shows, it could be a game changer, check out the videos and press release for yourself below.
